August 8] 1963 LEGION FIELD DAY WELL-KNOWN RESIDENT DIES Long time resident and former Township Clerk, W.A Spicer passed away at his home on Monday, August Sth. Born in England, Mr. Spicer came to Schreiber in 1912 and was employed by the C.P.R. for a time as Car Inspector. In 1954 he retired from the Municipal Office where he had served as Clerk-Treasurer for twenty-five years. He was a member of the Church of England, the Orange Lodge, a charter member of Rebekah Lodge No.279 and P.D.D.G.M. of the Oddfellows Lodge No.402. He was predeceased by his wife in 1956.
