- July 4, 1963 Marie, Mrs. GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Old and new friends thronged the home of Mr. and Mrs. Forbes Macadam on June 24, their Golden Wedding anniversary, to bring good wishes and many beautiful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Macadam,nee Jessie Robinson, were married in Fort William, on June 24, 1913, by the Rev. A. J. Cranston, returning to Schreiber to make their home. Until his retirement, Mr. Macadam was employed as a locomotive engineer. Among the gifts were solid gold candle- sticks from Mr. and Mrs, Radcliffe-Branch (daughter Joan), a golden pig filled with 50 cent pieces from Mr. and Mrs. V. R. Nott (daughter Joyce), lawn furniture from Mr, and Mrs. Gordon F, Macadam, living room lights from Mr. & Mrs. Russell Macadam and a $75.00 money tree from friends, presented by Mrs. Richard Spicer. For the occasion Mrs. Macadam wore a gold brocade sheath with matching short jacket and corsage of gilded roses. Tea was poured by Mesdames R. Weaver, R. Spicer, J.D. Brvson and J. Corbett. Scott Cordova Mines, Ont. Mrs. Radcliffe-Branch and Debbie came from Rosemere, Que. for the celeb- ration. REBEKAH MEETING Mrs, P, Plummer, N.G. and Mrs. C. Wright, V.G. presided for the last regular meeting, before summer recess, of Ruby Rebekah Lodge. Mrs, H. Holm, P.D.D.P., Mrs, Adams, PNG, and Mrs. Bradley, PNG, of Ft. William Lodge, were welcomed as visitors. One candidate was initiated. First nomina- tions for election of new officers was held. Mrs, D. Weaver, PNG, gave a detailed report on the recent Rebekah Assembly of Ontario. Mrs. F, Whent, PNG, Mrs. B. Ridsdale and Mrs. M. Slater thanked the Lodge for giving them an opportunity to attend the sessions. Following the meeting a social evening was enjoyed. Miss Sally Stewart was honored at a shower tea arranged in the Guild Hall when her mother Mrs, W. Randa(her fiance's aunt) and Miss Bee McBride assisted in receiving. The small tables were served by Mesdames D,. Marshall, M. Scraba, Misses Carole Lalonde, Cathy O'Brien, Doris McParland and Lorraine Nesbitt. Debby Stewart attented the guest book and Heather Graham the gift table. Tea was poured by Mesdames W. Holland, P.J. McGrath, J. Corbett and F, Macadam, Replenish ing were Mesdames J,H. Lalonde,W.
