Mrs, Helen Wallace was Convenor and Mrs.Florence Whent, N.G., wel- comed the many guests. Mrs.Susan Spicer, Mrs.Connie Weaver, Mrs.M.McColeman and Mrs.P,Hiller poured tea from a table covered with a handmade lace cloth centered with pink & white carna-- tions and white *%mums flanked by white tapers, Serving at the individual tea tables were Mesdames R.Miller, W,Collinson, F.Richardson, J.Spillett, A.Sinkins, W.Weaver, R.Gander, V, v Welsh and E.Legault, Replenishing in the ; kitchen were Mesdames Wallace, C.Morris, B. Whent & A,Morris, Attending the home-made | Candy table were Mrs, J,D.Bryson and Mrs, R, Macadam, Mrs. H.,McCanna- was Cashier, The winning ticket for the door prize, drawn by Mrs. D.Hutchison, belonged to Mrs. G,Piercy of Terrace Bay, SCHREIBER LIONS CLUB REPORT The habit of the Schreiber Lions Club has been to report how their funds, collected from you, the citizens, is being spent. All monies collected by the Club are turned back to civic aid or improvements, less what is required for our administra-| tive costs of these projects. As you can see by the amoun of money spent the administra- tive costs are kept to a mini- mum and all time spent by the Lions themselves on the various projects is given voluntarily. The Lions, although not a large organization, are doing their part. Please support the club in their future pro- jects to help build a better | place to live in, NEW HATR STYLIST IN SCHREIBER A recent arrival in Schreib-} t er is Mr. Tony Commisso, latel employed at Juliofs Salon in Toronto. Mr. Commisso is now taking appointments at the Schreiber Barber & Beauty Shop on Scotia St., near the Post Office. While specializing in hair styling, Tony is an experienced beauty operator who sets and shampoos also. Although closed on Monday morning the salon is open every other day except Sunday. CURLING TO START MONDAY NOVEMBER 27 If-all goes well with the ice making in the curling rink regular curling will start on) Nov. 27. The rinks scheduled for Mon. Mov. 27) will be notified by telephone and the remaind-' er ofthe draw .will be posted at the rink. For about 2 weeks curlers will use the old lounge. It will be this long, at least, before the new lounge building is usuable,. It looks as though the ments club will have close to.twenty rinks. This will prob- ably be broken down into four squads, each with five rinks. Plans are being made for a Monster Turkey and Chicken Mixed Bonspiel Dec. 15 and 16. This will be for members of the clubs only. It will be topped off by a Christmas Social on Sat. Dec. 16 for members and guests ~ in the new lounge. More details will be out soon. Complete rinks may be entered.
