WOLF: A guy who believes in wine, women and TERRACE BAY NWS 'Skip - M, November 16, 1961 LADIES CURLING CLUB NEWS Afternoon Curlers A meeting of the afternoon'curlers was held on Tuesday, November 7th, with the Draw Com- mittee to make final arrangements for the afternoon leagué. The following is the result of this meeting, At present there will be 5 teams curling in the afternoons. The schedule will be drawn up for curling Wednesday and Friday afternoons starting at 2,00 P.M. sharp. It is expected that the first scheduled games will commence on Wednesday, Noember 22, at 2.00 P.M. if ice is available, and all games will be 8 ends. If the ice is not available on that date, your skip will be notified and she in turn will notify you of any change : Rinks were drawn by the skips. The five rinks are as follows: Skip - K. Ostling with dé Sinkins, M, Crawford and L, McCausland, Hale with K, MacLeod, Mrs. DeBoice and I, Ferrier, Tentative plans call for a social evening of curling for all ladies curling in the afternoon and evening on Tuesday evening November 21st, starting at 7.00 P.M, This evening is set aside to give all the ladies a chance to limber up for the coming season, as well as assisting the new curlers, Instruction will be available for all those who have never curled before. If ice is not available on that date, all skips will be notified and any necessary changes will be passed on to you by your skip. Evening Curlers A meeting of the skips for evening curling was held on Thursday, November 9 with the Draw Committee. Ten rinks will be oompeting for the Seagram trophy with one round robin deciding the winner, This first round should be completed by Christmas with a winner declared, There will be no curling during Christmas week and the second round for the Club Championship-Canadian Oil trophy will commence probably on January 4, 1962 and be completed the first week of February and a winner declared, Tentative plans call for a small club bon- spiel during the week of February 5, with suitable prizes awarded the winners. The roun robin for the Laskin's Trophy will commence following this bonspiel and be completed in March, Rinks for evening curling were drawn by the skips and the following personnel will make up the 10 rinks for the first round; Skip - B, Haughn with J, Ratchford, H.
