MARATHON GOLF TOURNAMENT AUGUST 19TH The Marathon Open Golf Tournament will be held on August 19th, There will be twenty- seven holes of Medal Play, three events-- (1) Pro event - (2) Amateur Event no handicap and (3) Amateur Event - Handicap, Excellent prizes are promised for all events and a Social evening will be held on Saturday, August 19th, The Ladies' Open Tournament will be held on Sunday August 20th. Entrants must state event they wish to enter and names should be forwarded to W. Kowalchuk, Tournament Chairman, Marathon, Mr.& Mrs, H,P,Harley have returned home to Lancaster,.N.B., after spending a week as guests of Adelaide and Roger Beaulieu. Rev. Father T,.J.Hunt of Douglas, Ontario, accompanied by his three sisters, Sister Bertille, Sister Gerard and Sister Hilda are visiting with their niece, Mrs, Allan Valiquette and family this week. Rev,Father Hunt replaced Very Kev. Dean Gallagher who is presently on vacation to visit his family. Mrs, Alice Chepelsky had her parents, Mr. & Mrs, Arthur Pregent of Iriquois Falls visit for the past week. Mrs, Lester Legault returned from Toronto last week with encouraging reports on the health of her son Danny. Recent visitors at the home of Mr.& Mrs. A, Farrow were Alice*s. brother and sister-in- law, Mr.& Mrs.Ken Willer of Toronto and Abfs | niece, Isabel Farrow of Saskatoon. Barbara McMillan and Janice Gross were in the Lakehead last week as guests of Audrey and Bert Kitley, Fort William, Mrs.Ron Dakin has her grandmother, Mrs, C.McManus of Fort William visiting her this month. Mr.& Mrs, Clare Sims and family of Sarnia are visiting at the home of her parents, Mr.& Mrs, Don Beaudreau. Marilyn Marsh was the guest of Glenna Moors, Murray Avenue, Fort William, last week DR.
