Soloist was Miss iLouise Roland of Terrace Bay who sang "Ave iMaria" and "On This Day 0 Beautiful Mother." 'She was accompanied by Miss Carole Lalonde of iSchreiber at the organ. Given in marriage by her brother Clarence \McBride, the bride chose for her wedding a 'formal gown of white peau de soie. The bodice ifeatured long pointed sleeves with jewelled 'lace edging the scooped neckline. Side. panels jof the skirt were of jewelled lace and the 'back held a bow from which the skirt fell into graceful folds to form a slight train, \Her head dress was a tiara of cut crystal and iheld a chapel veil of silk illusion. She carried a shower bouquet of red roses. The Matron of honour, Mrs. John Kelly of Marathon chose a waltz length gown of shocking 'pink silk chiffon styled with a full skirt and | fitted bodice. She wore a matching picture 'hat and carried a cascade of pale green carna- jtions, The Misses Carol and Catherine O'Briien, itwim.nieces of the bride were dressed alike in 'shocking pink organza sheaths with half length joverskirts of lace and the lace bodices were 'finished with square necklines and cap sleeves. iTheir head dresses were shocking pink brilliant 'trimmed tiaras with tiny veils and they carried iyellow carnations, The flower girl, Jane :Duggan, niece of the bride, also wore shocking ipink organza with square neckline and puffed ;sleeves and carried a nosegay of yellow carna- tions centered with a red rose. | The best man was Adrian Boulanger, Schreiber 'and ushers were James Sawyer of Schreiber and 'Edward Koschuk of Toronto. | For the reception at the home of Mr.& Mrs. iHarry Duggan, Schreiber, the bride's Mother 'received wearing a blue floral silk organza isheat}ensemble with accessories of matching i blue hat, white shoes and gloves and a cor- sage of pink roses. Child with heaviest fish not in other cate- gories was won by Raymond Belaronde. Lady with lightest fish - Christine Olsen, Lady with heaviest fish - Norma Schock. Lightest fish | in each category prizes went to Beverley Dodge, Bob Malkin, Billy Brend and Mrs. E,Holmes. The first fish entered on Sunday 'prize went to Garnet Valiquette and the last fish entered on Saturday prize went to Carol Jean Deskins of Kentucky. : Prizes for the first fish entered in each category' went to L.Duquette, Nancy Honakes of Kentucky, J.Garvin and N.Schock. Reeve John Ferrier drew the lucky ticket for the door prize - a camper trailer. Holder of the lucky ticket was William Smart of Schreiber. A'second draw for a $50 voucher on Aluminum windows went to Bruce Larson of Terrace Bay. Chairman of the Derby, Mr.Don Brearley, was ably assisted by a large number of fellow Kiwanians, Preceding the two days of fishing a dance was held on Friday evening in the Highschool when music was provided by the Twi- lighters, COMMUNITY SHOCKED AT DEATH OF MRS. JOYCE RUNDLE Residents of the district were deeply shock-! ed to learn of the sudden death on Sunday | night of Joyce, wife of Dr. W. Rundle. Dr, Rundle and his wife spent several active years in Terrace Bay where a son, Charles, was born. Since leaving here a daughter, Mary-Claire had arrived, The entire community sympathizes with those who are left to mourn her passing, i | NEAR TRAGEDY AT JACKFISH LAKE Quick action by two Terrace Bay residents in giving artificial respiration brought life back to two Schreiber children last Sunday. Mr, E.Morin of Schreiber took his family and a playmate of his son Denny, Brian Mac- Cuaig to Jackfish Lake. Denny and Brian were playing in the water and for a few moments were unwatched, Mr.Morin noticed Brian floating face down in the water and carried hin to shore where Roy Larson immediately began artificial respiration. Mr.Morin then saw the feet of his son sticking out of the water | but, as he was unable to swim, could not reach him. Mr.Larson's daughter, Darlene, swam out and brought Denny to shore. Attracted to the scene and noticing the lack of prompt action by onlookers, John Schritt began respiration on the second boy.
