Mr.@ Mrs. E.Trudeau and Brenda enjoyed a week's camping trip, returning home Thursday. Recent and present guests at the Trudeau home include Mr.& Mrs. R.Peterson and girls of Kapuskasing, Mr.& Mrs. T,Maki. and Dolores of Kaministiquia, Mr.&@ Mrs. Carl Cook of Fort William, Mr.& Mrs, L.Miller of Port Arthur and Ray Buchanan, enroute home to Port: Arthur from Toronto, Mr.&@ Mrs. M.Myers and son Kenneth, daughte Mrs,.Carol Desjardins and her son Dale, arriv- ed Sunday from Essex, Ontario to visit Mrs, Myers cousin, Frank Sweet and family. Mr.& Mrs.Chas.Lawie of Toronto visited Mr,& Mrs.A,Sinkins last week and Mrs,Mary Duguid of Port Arthur is presently a guest in their home. Margo Anderson returned home Sunday (with a fractured collar bone suffered last week) from Brandon where she had visited for the | past six weeks. She was accompanied by her aunt and uncle, Mr.& Mrs.T.Carr who will visi | in'Terrace Bay this week, | Mr.& Mrs.N. J.McFadden and, daughter of ' Hamilton visited Mr.McFadden's brother-in-law and sister, Mr.& Mrs. Bill Baillie last week. Recent visitors at the home of Mr.& Mrs. W.8,Cavanaugh were their son and daughter-in-~ law, Ted & Arline of Toronto, Mrs. Edith Devine of Sudbury and her sister, Mrs. Harcourt of Flint Michigan, Mr.& Mrs. G, Elliott and son David, from Scarborough are presently visiting with Mr.& Mrs, Cavanaugh and their daughter, Mary Lou Elliott. | | | | | | { j ¢ ' | SENIOR SWIMMERS PASS ROYAL LIFE SAVING TEST Mr.Willy Mueller of Red Rock, while in Terrace Bay July 29th, gave an extensive . theory and physical examination. in swimming to, six Terrace Bay seniors, all of whom he duly passed and awarded them their Bronze Medallion. The six were:- Mrs.Dorothy Billings, Marilyn | Marsh, Ellen Knight, Marvin Steen, Ron Schock ; and John Anderson, Mr,Meuller paid tribute to Mrs. Billings as a rare adult who persisted and concluded this difficult test, hoping she would be an example to others in the adult group. Marvin Steen, as their instructor, was also awarded his Red Cross Instructor's vyrtiticate by Mr.Mueller, who felt Marvin had done much | to improve the Terrace Bay Swim program. | ' | | |
