Page 8 MINOR BASEBALL With summer vacations fast approaching and the prospect of many people leaving town, the Minor Baseball leagues commence their final week of operations on the regular schedule, - Competition has been hot in all leagues and the progress of players' speaks well for the hopes of All-Star teams, to be formed for games against outside teams immediately fol- lowing league playoffs. TOWN TOPICS (Cont'd from Page 6) celebrated in the Nurses Chapel followed by a Conmunion break- fast for the Mothers and Daughters in the Hospital Cafeteria, and that evening there was a Father and Daughter Banquet, Sunday efternoon the Graduation Service was held in the Auditorium of Lakeview Highschool, Port Arthur with a reception following in the Hospital Cafeteria. The Graduates Dance was an event of Monday evening and again the parents were invitel guests. Gary Crandlemire arrived last week having completed his year at the Port Arthur Col- legiate where he plans to return this fall to finish his grade 13. Gary is the son of Mr. and Mrs, Lester Crandlemire, Home from St. Patricks Highschool is Lauri Mae Marcella for the summer with her parents Mr, and Mrs, Joe Marcella, having completed Grade 11 at St. Pats.(Contti Pg.9) oe
