The opening up of new roadways has aided in dispersal of the fishing pressure, This is apparent along the North Shore of Lake, _ Superior with the completion of the highway. . through that area. This route, as well as -- being a scenic drive, has also enabled the sportsman to angle in some lakes which have not experienced too much pressure in the past. The O'Sullivan Lake area, now accessible by the extension of the road north of Nakina, has proven to bea popular location this spring... However, fly-in operations are still finding excellent fishing waters, as some clientele prefer to be located in the more remote areaSe TRAPPING ~ The compilation of the final ~ reports on pelts sealed in Geraldton Distric during the 1960-61 season indicate that a substantial increase in most species of fur-bearing animals were taken this year. The catch of otter was practically doubled as compared to last season. Mink were also in good supply.
