ERICKSON HONORED A surprise party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs, L, Crandlemire Sunday afternoon in honour of the Silver Wedding Anniversary of Mr, and Mrs. S, Erickson. The guests of honour received a corsage of pink roses and boutonniere upon their arrival and were greeted by over 40 relatives and friends, with the gifts presented by their daughter and son-in- law. Hostesses Mrs. Jim Garriock and Mrs. Crandlemire served a buffet supper and a social evening followed. Out of town guests for the occasion were Mrs. Erickson's Father, Mr, Fred Fedyk of Keewatin, two brothers Paul and Fred and their families of Fort William, their daughter and son-in-law Mr, and Mrs, Tim Bond of Port Arthur, Mr. Erickson's sister and brother-in-law Mr, and Mrs, Walter Wilson of Torento and their son Jim of Toronto, Mr, and Mrs. Michael Churney returned home Monday afternoon having enjoyed,a trip on the Circle Route around Lake Superior over the past week-end, Mr, and Mrs. Harold Johnson and sons of Marathon visited Mrs. Johnson's sister and ~ family, Mr. and Mrs, Tom Kolincak over the past weekend, Myrna Crandlemire was a guest in Fort William last week and to be an attendant at the marriage Saturday afternoon of Miss Catharine Shiska to Mr, Dale Plant in First Chtrch United, Fort William, Joan Hopper is home on a month's vacation from the Civic Hospital in North Bay where she is training as an X-Ray technician. Joan is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Verne Hopper,' Mrs. Reg LeBlanc with Claudia and Gloria visited with her husband presently working in Terrace Bay and his parents, Mr. and Mrs, Art LeBlanc for ten days, returning home to Port Arthur last week.
