The Northwestern Region have accummulated an enviable quarter million accident-free man hours since their safety program was inaugur- ated. Mr, Ernie Elvish of Port Arthur, Hydro Safety Officer for the Northwestern Region, was the recipient of an oil painting done . by Mrs.Sadie Gaulin, entitled "Hydro Tower | & Bay", presented to him by Ken MacLeod as : a pre-retirement memento of this district. Angus Fraser's report on the Works program was presented by Mr. Farrow stating the hund- red rose bushes purchased had been planted at the Cemetery, the Triangle and a bed replaced at the Hospital. Begonias would be ready for planting over the weekend, Alf Desrosier's report showed there were only two Test Plots left for members. The President explained a request for further rose bushes for town planting. Mr. and Mrs, Rollason spoke briefly to the garden enthusiasts and flower lovers before Mrs, Rollason gave a very talented demonstrat ion of floral arrangements for a variety of occasions and variety of settings. The very lovely arrangements were then drawn for and the lucky winners received all the flowers from Mr, and Mrs. Rollason.
