COURSE AT FT.WILLIAM A Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety Instructors! Course will be held on aves Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, April 3, 4 5, 6, using the Y.M.C.A, Pool and the Fort wiltian Red Cross Centre, The Course is sponsered by the Water Safety Service Branch of the Canadian Red Cross Society, Ontario Division, in co-operation with the Fort William and Port Arthur Red Cross Branches and the Community Programmes Branch of the Ontario Department of Hducation. Applications from any community conducting or planning to conduct a Swimming and Water Safety programme will be welcomed, Applicants should be 18 years of age and hold a Royal Life Saving Bronze Medallion or equivalent award, Applicants who are approved for the Course will be notified of detailed arrangements prior to the Course. Applications must be returned by March 17, The individual or sponsoring group is. responsible for travel, room and board of the applicants. There is no fee for the course. Application forms may be obtained from the Recreation Director, Red Cross Water Safety Chairman or the Community Programmes Branch, 400 Catherine Street, Fort William, CHEAT: HORTICULRUAL SOCIETY MEETS Mr. Harry Goodfellow presided over the regular meeting Friday evening of the Terrace Bay Horticultural Society held in the small meeting room of the Recreation Centre, Minutes of the intervening two Director's meetings and correspondence was read by the Secretary, Gertrude Cotton and Alice Farrow gave the financial report. All Committee Chairmen presented their reports. Ab Farrow volunteered to take members orders for the Jiffy Pots for re-sale in lots of fifty or better. Mr.Goodfellow re- minded those attending of the One Dollar membership feew now due, (Cont'd Page 3)
