Terrace Bay and were to have dinner and spend Friday night in Marathon, They plan- ned to proceed to Wawa and Sault Ste.Marie for stop-overs on Saturday. Those making the tour were thoroughly enjoying winter travel and highly praised the Canadian part of the trip. Two musicians in the group accompanied the others who sang "The Maple Leaf For- ever" before starting the lunch which featured fresh Lake Superior Trout. A tour of the Townsite and of the Mill gave the visitors an opportunity to see both working and living conditions in Terrace. Bay~ : HIGHWAY ASSOCIATION DIRECTORS MEET HERE Directors of the Lake Superior Interna- tional Highway Association met in the Recreation Centre, Terrace Bay, on Friday afternoon, February 17th. Attending were members from.Sault Ste.Marie, Wawa, Terrace Bay, Port. Arthur-Fort William, Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota, The president of the group, Mr. C.W.King of Port Arthur, called the meeting to order Minutes of a meeting held on October 28th were read by R.0,Beggs, and adopted after incidental corrections were made, Chairman of the Membership Committee, Mr. H,Hurtig reported on a meeting held by his group in Port Arthur on January 27th and a discussion on conclusions reached at this meeting followed. FRIDAY & SATURDAY| The Terrace Bay Figure Skating Club will hold its annual skating carnival this Friday and Saturday evening under the direction of Mrs. Ivy Pattison, Club Professional, Guest artists from the Fort William Figure Skating Club include Miss Jennifer Wilkin, Gold Medallist and Northern Senior Ladies Champion 1960~(1; Miss Brenda Gold and Mr. Sidney Turner, dance champions of the Fort William Thunder Bay Figure Skating Club, Local talent and female impersonators will also star in the carnival. If you have not already purchased a ticket, you may do so at the door. Programs are in- cluded with the purchase of each ticket.
