Last weekend Lillian and Ed Burk of Port Arthur were visitors with the Andersons and the previous week Marge, Walter and Margo Anderson had motored to Minneapolis to visit Walter's neice, Mrs.Jon Rasmussen, The Local Association to Guides and Brown- ies will meet Monday evening, October 24 . in the small meeting room of the Recreation Centre at 8:30 P.M, Everyone urged to attend. Many farewell parties have 'been held for the families leaving for Castlegar, B.C. Joan and Joe Charban were entertained at the home of Mr.& Mrs.Howard Solly when seventeen couples spent an enjoyable evening dancing and partaking of the buffet supper. The group presented the Charbans with a motorized barbecue. A gift of chinaware was given to Joan from the Terrace Bay Ladies Curling Club, and jewellery was presented to her from her co-workers at the Imperial Bank, Joe received an electric razor from his co- workers at the Mill together with their best wishes, Rita and Harold Newell and their family also left lastweek for Castlegar and a Stag was held for Harold by his friends and co- workers when he was presented with a purse. Rita was entertained by her bridge club. at the home of Mrs.Bert Edmonds when she was given a Spode Vase. A mixed party surprised the Newells at their home and here they (Cont'd Page 3)._
