A display of the paintings completed from the Terrace Bay Children's Art Classes will also be shown and exhibits from each of the visiting Clubs at the Conference, Tickets will be sold at the door should you have missed the convasser and besides the inclusion of tea and lunch, the ticket will also give each a chance on the draw, one in the afternoon and one in the evening for the two oil paintings, There will be special draws for the children during the afternoon "session, included in the price of their ad- mission, GUIDERS TO CONDUCT TRAINING CLASSES The Guiders Club met on Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Helen Hales, Terrace Bay. Taking over the chair since the departure of Mrs.Muriel Mantey, Mrs.Margaret Helmink pre- sided. Minutes of the past meeting were read by the Secretary, Mrs, Barb. Peterkin. It was decided to start Leaders training Classes once more with Mrs.Shirley Mikus in charge. The first class will be held this Thursday evening, September 29 at the home of Mrs,Peterkin, Discussion of many of the problems of Guides and Brownies led to suggestions on the lockers, removal of equipment from meeting rooms and suggestions that Brownies leave running shoes in their lockers for game time. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs,Lois Downey on November 21. An afternoon Tea was held in honour of Mrs,Lois Haviland at the home of Mrs. Virginia A gift of jewellery was presented to Lois and the hostesses for_the afternoon were Audrey Smith Evelyn Partington and Virginia Galvin.
