The local club appreciated the opportunity of having these officials at a meeting and it is hoped they will be available again in the future, LEARN ARTIFICIAL RESPIRATION © ' This Wednesday night (May 18th) there will be free classes in Artificial Respiration held at the High School Auditorium, Starting time is 8.30 p.m. All recognized types of artificial res- piration will be demonstrated. The first game starts at 2 P.M, with the second gett- ing underway fifteen minutes after com- pletion of the first _ . one,. Appropriate opening day ceremonies are being planned with the Terrace Bay Band in attendance and councillor Joe Heenan, throwing out the first ball. In between games a draw will be held with the first winner receiving a hamper of groceries and the second one a ham. Admittance charge for the day will be Adults .50¢, Students -25¢ and children free. Due to Red Rock not being able to play home games this year, all games played: between Red Rock arid Terrace Bay will. be played in Terrace. The Comets will play a 26 game schedule with 18 at home. Entire schedule will appear in next week's paper. ia has isa ". ------_--_ BASEBALL MEETING TO ELECT EXECUTIVE Thursday night, May 19th, at 8 P.M., in 'the R&S, Centre a meeting to elect an Executive for the baseball club will be held, This is a very important meeting as an executive is a must to keep baseball going in Terrace Bay. The nominating comm- ittee will bring in a slate of officers who have agreed to run, Other nominations will be taken from the floor. As an added attraction, the film-of the heavyweight championship fight between Johannson and Patterson will be shown, This film will be run at the conclusion of the meeting. A silver collection will be taken to help defray the expense of bringing this picture in. Let's have a large turnout! COUNCIL QUOTES A business meeting was held by Council in the Municipal Offices last Wednesday after- noon with Reeve John Ferrier presiding, Councillors Bouchard, Heenan, Evans-Smith and Duncan were present together with the Secretary-Treasurer, Mr, Strutt, and Clerk Hanley. Minutes of the past meeting were' accepted and the nonthly report from Fire Chief Maitland.
