1 "TERRACE Circulation Terrace Bay & Schreiber SPRING TIME IS CLEAN UP TIME Last week's Spring-like weather made the few remaining snow banks disappear' and as usual, residents were confronted with an accumulation of debris, leaves, branches et cetera to clear out of their yards. Some hardy souls got. out their rakes and proceeded' with the annual tidying up over the week~end,' And then it snowed again -- a mixed blessing! The white blanket covers the sins of omission of we slower. pokes - and those who already have cleaned up can sit back smugly thinking. to themselves.that as soon as this snow fall disappears, their grass and plants will be one jump ahead! A local By-Law (27) states that no. fires to burn up rubbish in-yards-or on the Streets are permitted, All that is necess- ary to do is to put out the rubbish in boxes or containers of some kind and they will be picked up on the régular garbage collection days, It is better to clean up than to burn up!
