Over two hundred people were in attendance and tho- roughly enjoyed the programme, The group are to be sincerely congratulated on the outstanding job they did, President David Wheeler outlined the pur- pose of Teen Town ina short but revealing manner and had copies of the Club constitu- tion given to the adults. On Sunday the Bantams battled it out with the Fort William Canadiens and, after nine min- utes of overtime hockey, Fort William broke the deadlock to win by a 3-2 score. At the time of writing we do not have an accurate line-up of the Schreiber or Terrace Bay teams, We understand the three teams entered from the North Sliore in the playoffs all picked up valuable reinforce- ments from Terrace Bay, Schreiber and Mara- thon to play in their respective divisions. Along with their fine selection of songs they are fortunate in getting a trumpet quartette, and a violinist to provide enter- _ ,jtainment for your enjoyment, The proceeds from the concert will enable the Chorus to continue in their course to provide music for the people of Terrace Bay and District. . : MARATHON MERCURIES WIN FIRST TwO GAMES IN INTERMEDIATE PLAYOFFS On Saturday and Sunday in Terrace Bay the Mercuries won two games over the Fort Frances Canadians, On Saturday night the Mercs won _ by 6 to 3 and on Sunday by 7 to 5, so they are now two big games up in the: best of five series and have shown that North Shore. Hockey packs a punch, aa The Mercuries picked three Terrace Bay players, D.Whalen, Maurice Osmar and Tom Pollard, also Dobson as a spare goalie, for this series.
