wap titi easton sl March 24, 1960 FRIDAY NIGHT SHOPPING For several weeks now..the merchants in Terr ace Bay have kept their stores open on Friday evenings for the convenience of the public, This paper believes that the merchants are to be commended for this progressive step as it gives the people the same opportunity for late shopping as is available in larger cent ters, Perhaps a good percentage of the shoppers are not yet accustomed to late Friday shopping but it would be unfortunate if, through lack of interest, the merchants have to discontinue the practice. However, it is not conceivable to us that it will be necessary to do so when one overhears the many young mothers enjoying themselves shopping on a Friday night with the youngsters safely at home, The mother with small children obviously appreciates the chance to shop without the added chore of baby-watching and, as other shoppers recognise the advantages of late . shopping it will probably become as popular here as it is in larger communities, | SEE PAGES 8 and 9 FOR FRIDAY NITE SPECIALS!} | CURLING CLUB NEWS 1, The Mixed Curling Windup will be this | Saturday Evening, Mar.26th in the Club Lounge, |All Mixed Curling members are urged to attend, iy Men's teams wishing ice for pickup games on Saturday afternoon, Mar.26, please sche- _dule with L.Duquette, No ice will be avail- | able unless scheduled, 3.
