OLEKSUK Standards of pink gladioli adorned the alter of Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, Schreiber on June 20th when Irene Jolin of Terrace Bay, | daughter of Mr.& Mrs.Edmond Lamarre of Outre mont, Quebec was united in marriage with Mr, Edward Oleksuk of Manitouwadge. Mr. Oleksuk is the only son of Mr.,& Mrs. Anthony Oleksuk of Fannystelle, Manitoba, Rev. GG, Epoch, S.J. officiated at the double ring ceremony. Miss Carol Lalonde presided at the organ while Mr.Giovanni Cebrario was soloist, Alter boys were Terry McParland and Paddy Duggan. Escorted to the alter by Mr.Elie Mailette of Schreiber, the bride was lovely in a floor length gown of forget-me-not blue nylon organ- za. She wore a tiara of rhinestones and carried a cascade bouguet of sheetheart roses' | centred with a white orchid, Matron of Honour was Mrs, Julien of Mani- touwadge, Miss Anita Jolin was Bridesmaid and Judy Shynkaryk was the flower girl. Grooms- man was Mr.Julien Regis and usher was Mr. Henry Lavoie of Heron Bay. A wedding breakfast for the bridal party and family followed the ceremony in the Schrei ber Hotel with Mrs.J.Corbett as dining room hostess and Mrs,C.Duggan and Mrs.G. Krause servitors, A reception was held during the evening at the Moose Hall, Terrace 'Bay when the Grooms" mother received with the bridal party. For their honeymoon trip to Chicago the bride chose an olive green tweed suit with white accessories, Prior to their marriage a presentation was made to the bride by the staff of the Terrace Bay Hospital and the Groom was entertained by friends in Manitouwadge at a Stag, Mr.& Mrs,Oleksuk will make their home in Manitou- wadge,. Mrs. Dorga Caldwell presented her June recital of Terrace Bay pupils in the Recrea- tion Centre to a group of parents and inter- ested friends. . PIANO RECITAL HELD JUNE 21ST A Piano Recital was held Sunday afternoon June 21st, in the Terrace Bay High School Auditorium by the pupils of Mrs, D,A,Locking, with parents and friends in attendance for the delightful afternoon of music. Mrs, Locking was presented with gifts from her pupils in appreciation for her many efforts on their behalf, ' Each pupil executed two numbers; one an examination piece and one chosen and prepar- ed for the recital by the pupil. Those taking part were:- Lynn Simmer, Randy Hutch- inson, Pat Simmer, Billy Shirriff, Molly McCausland, Karen Moore, Paul Hutchinson, Marcia Jeanheret, Karen Pastor, Margo Ander- son, Margie Dale Locking, John Shirriff, Darlene Larson, Ellen Knight, Marilyn Marsh Bruce Young, Mrs. F, Knight, Mr, R.Shirriff and guest'soloist, Peggy Shirriff,. Mrs. Locking concluded the recital with the selection "Scherzo" and invited those present to remain for refreshments, A Surprise Stork Shower was held on June llth for Mrs.Lise Caron at her home when Mrs.C,LeMay and Mrs.K.Pryor were hostesses, The guest ef honour received many lovely baby gifts and the ladies played Bingo and games before the hostesses served luncheon -- assisted by Mrs.S.Stojko,. Charlene Gustafson has successfully com- pleted her year at No.Bay Téachers! College and hep home for the summer with her Mother Mrs.C,.Ross. Charlene will teach in Pt, Arthur;
