March 5th, 1959 The Terrace Bay Ladies Curling rink re- ; turned from Sudbury on Saturday morning to be greeted by a large number of Terrace Bay people at the C.P,.R, Station in Schreiber, A reception was held for the girls in the Curling Club lounge where refreshments were served and short speeches made, The Wellings rink got off to a flying start in Sudbury, turning back the 'two other contenders for the Ontario Crown in fine style on the opening round. However, last year's Ontario Champion, the Emily Wooley rink, recovered from their defeat by the Terrace Bay rink to force a play-off game on Friday evening against Peggy's rink, The Emily Wooley rink, from the Toronto Granite Club, won the deciding game and the Champion- ship. : The Terrace Bay curlers were treated in royal style while in Sudbury. They received silver Bonbon' dishes from the..Ontario Ladies Curling Association as runners-up as well as silver ash trays, a gift from Inco of.
