TERRACE BAY NEWS January 29, 1959 DON'T OVER FUSE When your teeth are troubling you there is little doubt that you will see a déntist-- if you are sick you will see a doctor, Their professional training will enable them to explain in detail what the trouble is--how it developed and what the future holds for you, depending on which course of action you take e While blown fuses in your home electric system or at your place of business are not exactly a toothache, it certainly requires the same sort of professional advice.. What must you do to restore service again? When a fuse burns out it is a sure sign that the electrical system is sick and you will need the professional service of an electrician, who, like the doctor or dentist, will ex- plain what the source of the trouble is and will recommend the cure. Electric fuses in your fuse box act as safety valves so be sure that you are using the right fuse for your system. No engineer would operate a boiler or run an engine un- less the safety valve was functioning proper- ly and you too should not operate an electric system without the proper fuse. If fuses burn out regularly do check to see that your circuits are not overloaded, never replace them with heavier fuses wi CHOGE professional help. "A blown fuse is a warning--put a heavier orein and you will have a fire sure, When this happens, play safe, call your doc- tor (electrician) & he will suggest the cure. Terrace Bay Fire Dept.
