The regular meeting of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1426 was held on Wednesday, Jan- uary 7th in the Moose Hall. Senior Regent Muriel Mantey chair the meeting. Recorder Liz Burns read the Treasurer's report and gave the correspondence to date; responded to by Moliy Gross. Business items of the organization were discussed and, at the close of the meeting the members held a hula hoop contest with M.Gross winning first prize and Liz Burns second, A delightful luncheon was served by Lois Haviland and her committee. The next regular meeting of the Women of the Moose will be held on Wednesday, January 21st at 8:00 P.M, in the Moose Hall. Erni? Mrs,M.Hamilton is visiting with her father, Mr. .L.Armstrong in Fort William. A surprise shower was held last Friday night for Mrs.Norma Crockford and her new daughter Carla at their home. The guests of honour were the recipients of some very lovely baby gifts and spent an enjoyable evening with their friends. Hostesses Charbon, Janicki and Solly served tea and luncheon at the close of the evening. Sympathy is extended to Mrs.Lois Shubal on the loss of her Mother, Mrs.John Windle in Renfrew last Tuesday. Lois has spent the last week in Renfrew. We extend our sympathy also to Mrs,Phyl Woods, whose father, Mr. Thomas A.Birt passed away in Winnipeg on January 8th.
