Mr,Greengrass! only'son, Rev,Alex Greengrass of Marathon, was the officiat- ing clergyman, assisted by Rt.ReveAdJ. Hogan of Fort William, Rev.E,A, Gallagher of Terrace Bay and Rev,Father Gatien, acting pastor of Holy Angels! Church, Rt.Rev,Hogan gave the eulogy. The acting pall bearers were J.McGrath, G,Willoughby, E,Holland, E,McCouan, Pat Bolan, A,Belanger. Honourary pall bearers were J,Shanahan, E,Morrill, A, Gauthier, B.Fournier, G,Duncan and T,Colan, ss Interment was in Schreiber Cemetefy. Mr,Greengrass, born on October 29th, _ 1886, in Norfolk, England, was raised in Aberdeen, Scotland, coming to Canada in 1911, After spending a year in Fort Will- jam he entered the service of the CPR in Schreiber, where he remained until his death, He retired in October 1951. He is survived by his wife, one son, Rev.A.Greengrass of Marathon, two daughters, Sister St,Henry of Edmonton and Connie, Mrs.G,Gauthier of Schreiber, five grand- children and a brother Arthur Greengrass of Kirkcaldy, Scotland, Mr,Greengrass was devoted to his home and family and he was an enthusiastic philatelist..- THREE RETIRED Be of LeE. MEMBERS HONOURED The Brotherhood .of Locomotive Engineers, Division 562, gave a dinner in the Schrei- ber Hotel oi November 18th in honour of three retired brothers -' R,T.McBride, Henry Scott and E,J.Morrill, Unfortunate- ly, only the latter was able to attend, J,E,Gagnon, A.McColeman and G,A,Scott were the committee in charge, with Don Rosie 43 Master of Ceremonies. Over fifty engineers and their wives attended, also Supt. Everitt and Mrs, Everitt Chief Despatcher H,B,Austen and Mrs.Austen, Mr.& Mrs,A.Mellis, Mr. & Mrs,, Geo.Birch. Miss Maureen Morrill was with her father and Mrs.Rosie accompanied her husband, Mr,Rosie said he felt: it was a great honour to act as chairman on such an occa~ sion, but, since the experience he had in railroading was learned from the older men present and he counted them as friends, along with the younger men whom he repre- sented, he could not feel nervous, Mr Everitt presented the Brotherhood's gift, a handsome inscribed wallet, to Mr, Morrill, Mr.Everitt whose knowledge of railroading 1s a practical one, said he was happy to work with the Schreiber men ' who he had known before, Geo.Birch, road foreman, spoke briefly, paying tribute to the pensioners present, Following the dinner a social evening was enjoyed, : Dairy farmer questioning a prospective hired hand, "Have you any bad habits-- smoke, drink, eat margarine?
