Page 7 Town Topics (Contfd) SHOWER FOR MARLENE STEEN ; Miss Marlene Steen was guest of honour last Thursday evening when Mrs, Virginia Galvin and Mrs.Jessie Dodge held a Misc- ellaneous Shower at the home of Mrs.Galvin Marlene will become the bride of Peter Doig on Sat. September 30th, Virginia pinned a corsage of red roses on Marlene as she entered and seated her neath a decorated umbrella. Twenty-five friends from Schreiber and Terrace were present and Marlene received a great var- iety of lovely gifts which had been placed in a decorated basket. A few games were played and the hostesses serv- ed luncheon assisted by Mrs.Evelyn Part- ington and Mrs.Audrey Smith, of the bride and groom-to-be, Mrs,Linnea Steen and Mrs,Marg.Doig, poured tea.
