Vol. 13, No. 25 LARGEST CIRCULATION IN TERRACE BAY June 5, 1958. SENIOR BaSEBALL THIS SUNDAY IN TERRACE BAY This Week's Doubleheader Red-Sox vs. Terrace Bay Sunday 1:15 Well, we are Batting 500 - two wins - two losses. The Superiors again split a pair of games, This time in their sojourn to the Big Metropolis to the West, namely the Lakehead, After copping a 6-3 win Saturday against the East-Ends - they Blew an early 5-2 lead Sunday against the P. A. Giants to end up on the Short side of a 7-5 score. This by the way was the first win for the Giants and has them on the scoreboard at Last, Due to last weekend games we are now in third spot in the standing with 12 games to go -- so it still looks rosey for us here in Terrace Bay with our new entry team. By all reports we have a new light in our midst in the personage of one Larry Lesarge, a Nipigon boy who is no stranger to Terrace Bay hockey fans, having played for Nipigon Flyers last year. This young man, after taking over the pitching duties in Sunday's game - struck out 14 batters. But only to lose the game on a comedy of errors by his team-mates. You'll all have a chance to see him in action Sunday against the Ked Sox, Who knows he may even duplicate his Lakehead feat - or surpass it.
