TERRACE BAY HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS WIN NORTH. SHORE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP. Last Saturday at Marathon, in the second Round Robin Tournament of the 1957-58 season, the local team played a two game series with Nip-Rock and Marathon and succeeded in. retaining their championship status of the previous year. FINALS In the first game of this final between Red Rock Royals and Terrace Bay Superiors - Superiors won by a score of 7-6, In the second game of the finals.on Tuesday night, Terrace again won by a score of 7-2. On Tuesday night Linquist for Superiors Opened scoring at 2:43 as Superiors carried the play and threatened Jorgensen many times, This was a close checking period with Jorgensen for Red Rock playing good goal, Whalen made it 2-0 for eaperaee > to end the period. In the second period Simoneau received two quick penalties. Calder and Stachiw 'were terrific at this time and all during the game killing Superior's penalties. They kept Red Rock dis-organized and Red Rock power plays just never got going, Although they had some good chances on the net but Weaver for Superiors played heads-up goal.
