OR CURLING CLUB NEWS Last weekend Terrace Bay's self styled Northwestern representatives (Olsen, MacDonald, Crockford and Solly) played two exhibition games. On Sat, afternoon Pauncho Pineault and his Peons (Duquette, Woods, and Hamilton) jolted their ego by hitting them with a five ender in the first end and romping home with a four point lead for an easy win. On Sunday, Rune Ostling with Duquette, Woods and Marsh fought a good fight but were stymied time and again by Olsen's steady curling. There was one 2-ender in the game - the rest all singles. The score Olsen 11 - Ostling 7. These two teams, and possibly more, will be fighting for the right to represent Terrace Bay in the Northwestern Playdowns of the MacDonald Brier. If you like watch- ing good curling, drop in and watch some of these battles. Any local rink wanting to enter the Club's Northwest Playdowns have until January 8th to do so.
