Mary, Bob and daughter Ainsley attended the funeral .in Fort Frances, and Mary and Ainsley will remain there until early in the New Year. Mr. and Mrs. N. R. Baldwin and son Tommy of -Red Rock were New Year's visitors at the home of Mrs. Baldwin's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cal Harvey. Betty and Don Ollen-Bittle and children were in Toronto with Don's parents for Christmas and spent New Year's in Port Arthur with Betty's parents, Mr. and Mrs, A, McCallum before returning home. Kit Thomas will return to school in Niagara Falls, New York on the 5th, having been the guest:of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Thomas .over the Christmas and New Year holidays. Mr. and Mrs. J. Tozer of Nipigon spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. P. Plummer. Mary and Harry Byers with Roy and Billy are spending this week as guests of Dene and Jim Clancy. Mary and Harry now residents of Biwabik, Minnesota are enjoy- ing visits with their many friends in Terrace Bay. Charmaine Dodge came from Toronto to spend Christmas week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Dodge. Congratulations to Marlene Steen of Terrace Bay and Peter Doig of Schreiber who announced their engagement at Christmas. Mr, and Mrs. W. J. Macnab of Winnipeg spent Christmas week as guests of the Reg Cottons. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ward of Fort William visited their daughter, Elva McMillan and family for Boxing Day. Frances over Christmas. Brian Montey went to Eagle River to spend Christmas with his parents Mr. and Mrs. E. Nontey and his brother David returned to Terrace Bay for the balance of the holidays with' the Roy Larsons. Holly Berndtsson celebrated her eleventh Christmas Day birthday on Monday the 30th with a toboggan party for her friends and returning home for a spaghetti supper. Magistrate and Mrs, P. T. Hake of Port Arthur were guests of their . daughter Lois Haviland and family for Christmas. They were accompanied by Lois' Grandfather, Mr. J. Hardie. Returning to the Lakehead with them was ' Mrs. Jean Gould who has been: residing with the Havilands for the past eight months. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lundeen with daughter Beverley and Mr. Charles Mason of Eagle River spent Christmas week with their daughter Mrs. Bun Larson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Barber of Marathon were also Christmas guests of the Bruce Larsons, Mr, and Mrs. Don Adamo with ; Susan, Billy and Frankie spent their Christmas in South Porcupine, Ontario visiting their paretns, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Adamo and:-Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cullen. Doris Mousseau, a nurse in training at St. Joseph's Hospital, Port Arthur arrived home Christmas Day for a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mousseau. Mr.'and Mrs. Tom Latour with Jacqueline visited at Christmas with Mrs. Latour's sister and brother-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. J. Cross in Marathon, and also with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. Polowsky of Port Arthur who were guests of the Cross family.
