' Two showers were held recently for Miss 'Theresa Jolin, a bride-elect of : December 26th. Last Thursday evening Mrs. -Conley MacDonald was hostess for Theresa at a Miscellaneous Shower, when the gifts were presented in a decorated umbrella as the guest of honour sat is a be-ribboned chair. Games were played and the lunch was served by Misses Brenda and Dorothy MacDonald. Miss Joan Brearley entertained for \ Theresa Jolin last month at another Miscell- aneous shower when many varied and lovely gifts were received in a decorated umbrella. Several games occupied the guests during the evening and Misses Brenda MacDonald and Frieda Heinrich assisted the hostess with the luncheon. We are pleased to note Irene Edmonds is_ back to work again after her lengthy illness. 'Mrs. Elsie Ostling entertained on Wednesday, December 11th when her Grand- ; daughter Karen Tfasteur celebrated her ninth -- birthday and Granddaughter Terry iasteur celebrated her seventh birthday. Eleven children were present and enjoyed games and singing and putting on a show before the birthday supper. aA Christmas Charm was used as the Table Centrepiece and joint birthday cakes were cut, one with nine candles and the other seven. There was cause for a big birthday celebration in the Farrow family last week with Alice celebrating her birthday on the 13th, ab on the 14th and daughter Mrs. Louise Smith on the 11th.
