- Congratulations to two of our girls, Mavis MacFadyen and Janice Erickson who graduated as Nurses from McKellar last week. On hand were their families, Mr. and _Mrs. Dan MacFadyen with Betty and Linda, Mr. and Mrs. Sig Erickson with Jimmy and Freddie. The Graduation ceremonies were held Wednes- day at the Vocational School, while on Thursday the Mother and Daughter Tea was held in the afternoon and the Graduation Dance that evening, Prior to her marriage Saturday, June 15th at Trinity United Chapel to George McDiarmid, Lovern Peruniak was entertained at a idcellangous Shower at the home of Mrs. Audrey Smith. Misses Lucille Jolin and Mavis Thorsteinson co-hostesses; on Monday June 10 Mrs. Rose Dye entertained at her home at a Miscellaneous Shower for May. with Mrs, Margaret Phillips co-hostess and Mrs. Marg- aret Laurenson assisting. Bao Mrs. R.. Pugh of Fort William visited with her daughter Kay Graham for the weekend, Mrs. Charles Wedley of Winnipeg is visiting with his daughter Gertrude Cotton for a couple of weeks. Mrs. A, V. McCallum of Port Arthur is the guest of her daughter and family, Betty Ollen-Bittle this week, Mrs. Steve Brend entertained for her son Billy's fifth birthday last Saturday, June 8th with thirteen little guests present. Brother Michael Brend helped with the enter- tainment, and a hearty luncheon was enjoyed before the children departed: for home with their treats. Sympathy is expressed to Walter Anderson who lost his sister, Mrs, Margaret Nevins in Brandon. Walter left Tuesday to attend the funeral.
