SUPERIORS PICK UP 10th STRAIGHT IN OVIRTIME WIN A ee Terrace Bay!s LOth win in a row didn!t come easy, but the Superiors had enough to beat Red Rock last Thursday 8-5, needing an overtime period to do the trick, As expected Red Rock is improving with every start and come play off time, they're going to be, tough to beat, The Superiors were not in top form for this game, and as a result they did not display their best hockey. For the first 60 minutes they looked like anything but the club that swept by all recent opposition, However, the local six came to life during the overtime period scoring 3 goals while blanking the Royals and that was the hockey game, Terrace Bay was leading pg and apparently had victory number 11 all wrapped up, but with 3 minutes to go, Seagris, a Red Rock defenceman, rapped in the tying goal to send the game into the overtime period, Whalen slammed in a long shot shortly after the overtime began which was enough to win. However, Kenney and Moro, Moro's third goal of the night, scored near the end of the period to put the game beyond ned Rock's reach, Moro with 3 goals, and Marv, Osmar with 2 paced the Superior attack while Whalen, Bond and Kenney uae in with a goal apiece, STREAK ENDED AT 10 Terrace Bay set out Sunday to stretch their undefeated streak to 11, but wfort- unately, Red Rock had other ideas as they handed the Superiors defeat number 3 for the season, by a score of 5-1. It was Red Rock's game all the way, and it was 5-0 until midway. in the third period when Diduch got away for the goal which averted a shutout. These same two teams will play again, this time in our Arena, Tuesday, January 22nd, at 8,00 P.M, The Superiors received a severe jolt last Sunday when Red Rock knocked them off 5-1.
