Promptly reporting a fire is a great help to the Fire Department at all times. Constant care in dealing with furnaces and electrical wiring is a must to prevent fires. We cannot get along with cluttered up premises which hamper our escape and restrict the work of the firemen, We become so accustomed to our own heating arrangements that we seldom take preventive measures with respect to chimies and furnaces, The colder it becomes the more we pile on the fuel, thereby broadening the prospect of danger. Always be sure we can get out of the house by the two doors, back, front or side, We should never rely on only one door to get out of in case of fire or the fire- men to get into the house, Snow should be removed from the doors so the Fire (cont'd. page 3)
