REMEMGBRAMNGE DAY DINNER SATURDAY NOVEMBER This Saturday at the Hotel Terrace at 6:45 pem. the veterans of the allied services will hold their fifth Annual Dinner to pay a solem tribute to the glorious dead. A tribute to those men and women who gave their lives in World Wars I and II, so that we and our children may live our lives as free men and women. The committee in charge of the dinner report that one hundred to one hundred and ten ex-service men will attend the dinner, just a few less than capacity of one hundred and twenty. Ex-servicemen who have not got a ticket should see Ken Hutchinson, In addition all veterans are in- vited to attend parade and services in Schreiber, Sunday, November llth at 2:00 pem. Parade will form at the Legion Hall at 1:40 p.m. for march to Cenotaph for the services, On this Sunday, November 11th, everyone would do well to stop and pause in respect to the fallen and to think about those immortal lines of Rudyard Kipling: "LEST WE FORGET" The tumult and the shouting dies; The captains and the kings depart; Still stands thine ancient sacrifice, An humble and a contrite heart: Lord God of hosts, be with us yet, Lest we forget, lest we forget. Paget, Townsite Supt, before 5:00 p.m November 12th, 1956. o-0-0 HUNTING SAFETY - We continue to have hunting casualties every year; this year we have had two hunt- ing accidents which hit close to home, Every. hunter then should find it timely to check the following hunting rules which are reprinted from the Lands and Forests magazine, "Sylva", 1. Treat every gun with respect due a loaded gun. This is the first rule of gun safety; guns carried into camp or home, or when otherwise not in use, must be unloaded, 2. Guns should always be carried in cases to the shooting area, 3. Always be sure gun or barrel are clear of obstruction, and that you have only ammunition of the proper size for the gun you are carrying; also remove grease from the chamber before firing. 4. Always carry your gun so that you can control the direction of the muzzle, even if you stumble, 5. Be sure of your target before you pull the trigger, and know the identifying features of the game you intend to hunt. (Cont. on. page 13)
