PIKE PREVENTION NWS SCHOOL FIRE DRILLS A surprise fire drill was held on Wednesday October 10th at the public school at 1:45 pem. The time of complete evacua- tion of the school was 30 seconds' using the east and west doors. The Women's Institute plaque was awarded to grade 2 for proficiency in marching, The alarm was again sounded at 2:10 pem. at St. Martin's School the time of complete evacuation of the school was 42 seconds, using only one door owing to construction of 2 new rooms, The Kiwanis Club plaque was awarded to Grade 8 for proficiency in marching, At the Continuation School the alarm was given at 2:45 p.m. and the school was cleared in 24 seconds using 2 doors.
