HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY NEWS AND NOTES The second Annual Show of the Terrace Bay Horticultural Society will be held on Saturday, August 25th,.. 1956 from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the High School Auditorium, Plans and efforts are well underway to make this event one of outstanding value to the Com- munity of Terrace Bay. The public is urged to attend and enjoy this important and interesting affair. Two door prizes will be drawn for during the evening - one open to all exhibitors only - and the other open to all those attending the show between the hours of 3:30 and 8:30 p.m. All members -having items for ex- hibition at the Show, please note that: ALL ENTRY FORMS MUST BE. IN THE HANDS OF THE SECRETARY NOT LATER THAN AUG, 18, '1956. Entry forms must be submitted by that date for participation in the show. All exhibitors are urged to read the rules most carefully. More or less that the number of .-items in each section will disqualify the entry. All children entering the Junior Section of the Show must register their entries in the same manner and time as the Senior Section. Each and every one of you is urged to attend this Annual Show and derive the same pleasure and enjoyment in seeing the exhibition as the members did in growing their gardens and displaying them, '0-0-0 BRUSH STROKES FROM THE ART CLUB All those interested in participating in the Art Club this year, please watch for the date of the opening organizational meeting in the near future, 0-0-0 NOTICE - BAKE SALE The Terrace Bay Ladies Curling Club will hold a bake sale on Saturday, August 25th, This sale will take place at 11:00 a.m, at Bucovetsky!s store, 0-0-0 FOUND Leather keycase and keys. Auxiliary the members were asked to knit babies! wearing apparel, during the summer months, thesé articles to be donated to: the "Clothing Cupboard" maintained by the Children's Aid Society of this district. 'Perhaps you have been unable to find time to knit but have some warm used cloth- ing you would like to donate. These would be most appreciated as the "Clothing Cup- board" is used to outfit needy families, destitute mothers and old age pensioners, Please bring your donation of clothing to the next Ladies! Auxiliary meeting, Wednesday, September 5th, or call Mrs. J, Wade, phone 438 Mrs, F, Soughton, phone 434 and we will gladly call for your parcel when it is ready.
