AROUND THE TOWN (Cont.) Also with the Sinkins is Alex's sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. M, Flockhert and daughter Lynn of Toronto for this week. Mr. and Mrs, Eric Davis from Kirkland Lake were weekend guestsof Stella and Ted Brown. Mr, and Mrs. Paul Maskiw and Donnie of Birtle, Manitoba are visiting this week with Mrs, Maskiw's sister, Mrs. N. Linkewich and family enroute to Toronto, Niagara and Chicago. They are accompanied by their daughter Shirley Maskiw and Mr. Ken Allen of Winnipeg. Eddie Linkewich returned home with the Maskiw's having visited in Birtle since June 24th, A lovely shower was held on Tuesday night in honour of Marjorie Laurenson, at the home of Mrs, Clara Gould. When Marjorie entered, a corsage of roses was pinned on her, The guests presented the bride-to-be with many lovely gifts placed in a decorated wishing well, The ladies played Bingo after which they were entertained by several solos by Mrs. Gould. A very dainty lunch was then served by the hostess assisted by Mrs, Mildred Welsh and Mrs. Elsie Berndtsson. The regular meeting of the Dim Bulbs was held Tuesday evening, July 24th at the home of Mrs. Louise Stuart. Final plans were made for the weiner roast to be held August 25th and all members will be con- tacted by Louise and her committee prior to that date. The next meeting will then be held September 25th. A very entertaining evening was held playing Tan Fan with Ev Garvin winning first prize and Helen Boudreau low, Rita Cavanaugh also was the recipient of a prize as the most alert person present that evening Congratulations Rita! 0-0-0 TEEN TOWN CHATTER Due to the fact that nothing has been done about Teen Town since June, there will be a meeting in the large meeting room at the Rec. Centre Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. to discuss future plans and problems that have arose, Please make a special effort to attend this meeting.
