On Tuesday evening after the meeting many Terrace Bay bicycles were Scotchlited for another season under the direction of Herman Roberts, Other members are making final plans for the operation of the Kiwanis Concessions at the Rossport Derby in connection with the program, the dance, meals and booths on Sunday July 22nd. By this weekend every member who can get away will have spent time with the lovely.dance draw prize - a boat and trailer - in one of the surrounding towns. Plans are to take the boat and trailer to Manitouwadge this weekend. If you haven!t got your ticket yet better get one soon - they're going fast. wt One of the interesting behind the scenes jobs is the editing of the official Rossport Derby Program, This job requires many hours of extra work in writing to advertisers, getting pictures and stories and finally sending the program to press, Program editor this year is Jim Beddard, last year it was Tom Williscroft and for the two years before that M. O, Nelson the original editor and founder of the Program. Another job requiring a lot of effort is the operation of the: dance, Gurly ~ Hale is looking after this and is responsible for ticket sales and the operation of the dance. Steve Keller is heading up the meal concession at Rossport and there is certainly a lot of work involved in lining up a few 'hundred meals ahead of time. Another job requiring a great many hours of work and planning is that of construction, Jack Wellings is heading up this phase which includes tent con- struction and booth set up. The whole Kiwanis part in the Derby is under the chairmanship of Paul Boudreau and both he and President Des Evans---Smith say - "Get Your Yellow Rossport Derby Dance Tickets From Any Member of the Kiwanis Club", o~0=-0 COKE BOTTLE RETURNS Because of congestion in the tool crib, it will no longer be possible to accept coke bottles there for refund. Instead, Frank Sechesky will be available to accept bottles afternoons only up to 4:00 otclock in the vicinity of the coke storage area near the pulp department offices.
