AROUND THE TOWN (Cont,) Doris Chopty and family for two weeks, Mr. and Mrs, George Fines and daughter Kay of Fort William were weekend guests of Alex and Nacy Marquis. Tom Smith has his brother Bill here for the summer, Alice and Ab Farrow with Donald have re- turned from their vacation in Brockville visiting Ab's sister, Mrs. Lillian Courtney and family, and also visiting in Ottawa, Iroquis Falls and in Cornwall, In Barrie they were guests of Alice's brother Philip Willer and family and also visited with former Terrace Bay residents, the Harold Saunders in Ajax, Ontario and with Cec and Clare Simms in Samia, before returning home through the States, Norah and Curtis Cotton were weekend guests of the Reg Cottons. Paul Maleshewski had his brother and family, Peter and Steffie Maleshewski with Patricia and Ronny of Kenora visiting for the weekend, Mr. and Mrs, Jack Fraser and Peter of Fort William visited the Charlie Simmers on Tuesday. Ann and Ryan Berrigan of North Bay are visiting with Stella and Ted Brown this week, Mrs. Yolande Boudreau had her Mother, Mrs, Ahna Bougie of Montreal here for the month of June. Mary and George Dashkewytch returned last weekend from their motor trip visit- ing with friends in Dayton, Ohio, Flint, Michigan, with Cec and Clare Simms in . Sarnia, Ontario, Toronto and in Duluth Minnesota, Ann and Leon Checkryn and family enjoyed a holiday in Winnipeg visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs, M, Checkryn and back by way of Minneapolis and Duluth and a visit with Ann's parents Mr, and Mrs, John Dika in Fort William, Magistrate and Mrs. P. T. Hake of Port Arthur and Mrs, Hake's father, Mr. John Hardie were weekend guests of their daughter Lois Haviland and to be present for the Christening of their granddaughter Laura Lee Haviland on Sunday in the Community Church, this making four gener- ations together, After five years residence here Mr. and Mrs, Erich Kutok left Terrace Bay behind them to enter into business for them- selves with the Lakehead Photo at 43 South Court Street, Port Arthur, Inge Kutok was feted before her de- parture at the home of Mrs, Vicky Synishin (Cont. on next col.) Seven little girls enjoyed outdoor games after the excitement of opening presents, followed by a very lovely birthday luncheon and treats for the departing guests.
