RECIPE OF THE WEEK SPANISH LIVER slices bacon pound liver teaspoon salt /h teaspoon pepper cups thinly sliced onion 3/h 1 YEH HW cup diced green pepper No, 2 can (2-1/2 cups) tomatoes Dice the bacon and fry until crisp, Season the liver with salt and pepper, dredge with flour, if desired, and brown in the bacon fat; turn several times, Remove liver from the skillet; add the thinly sliced onions and green pepper, and cook until tender. Claire will not return to Terrace Bay next year, but will teach in Lively, Ontario, Pat Hunt will also take a course in Primary Methods in Ottawa, then visit with her sister, Mrs, J. McCarthy of Los Angeles, California, Mr, John Morrison of the Public School Staff will also attend a summer school in Windsor, Ontario; Lois Windle will vaca- tion with her parents, Mr, and Mrs, John We Windle of Renfrew, Ontario; Pauline Dowling will go to Barrie, Ontario for a visit with her Mother, Mrs. John D. Dowlings Mrs, Sidney Spencer will remain in Terrace Bay, Norah Montey plans to visit in Renfrew and a trip to the West Coast; Miss Vera Bradshaw will go to Parry Sound and Marilyn Gordon will visit with her parents in- Marathon as well as a holiday in Kenora and other points, Isabelle and John DeLaronde returned last week from a week's holiday in Birch-. wood, Wisconsin visiting with Mr, and Mrs. Carter, Elva and Freddie McMillan and family visited last weekend in Fort William with Elva's parents, Mr, and Mrs, Harry Ward. Friends of Mr, and Mrs. Arthur Arndt of Long Beach California, nee Pat Dooling of the Terrace Bay Separate School Staff will be happy to learn they are now the proud parents of Kathryn Mary, who arrived on June 6th, Visiting with the Ron Fausts last weekend were Mr. and Mrs, Fred Naweumb with Judy and Nancy and Mr, and Mrs, Henry Wagner, all of Niagara, Wisconsin. Mary Clare and Joe Kennedy, Glenna and Jim MacDonald travelled to the Lakehead last weekend to attend the marriage of their | cousin Joan Ann Anderson to Donald Murphy last Saturday in Port Arthur. Mary Clare remained in the Lakehead where she is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital, Port Arthur, this week, Mrs. Connie Burella entertained for herdaughter Jo-Ann Tuesday, June 26th on the occasion of her sixth birthday, Open ing the lovely presents from 16 little (Cont. on page 5)
