Volume 6, No, 18 "LARGEST CIRCULATION IN TERRACE BAY May 3rd, 1956. D. C. PORTER APPOINTED MILL MANAGER, COOSA RIVER NEWSPRINT COMPANY, J. C. WIG, NEW MILL MANAGER, LONGLAC PULP AND PAPER COMPANY LIMITED. The Kimberly-Clark Corporation of Neenah Wisconsin have announced that D, C. (Don) Porter, Mill Manager of the LongLac Pulp and Paper Company Limited at Terrace Bay, Ontario, will assume new responsibilities as Mill Manager of the Coosa River Newsprint Company at Coosa Pines, Alabama, effective May 16, 1956. The Kimberly-Clark Corporation manages and operates the Coosa River Newsprint + Company which currently is undergoing an-ex- pansion program for the addition of a new newsprint machine, Don Porter has been Mill Manager of the LongLac Pulp and Paper Company Limited since start-up of operations in 1948, A native of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Mr, Porter joined the Kimberly-Clark Cor- poration shortly after graduating from Marquette University in 1928. He had been Pulp Mill Superintendent at Kimberly, Wisconsin and was active on the Neenah Staff before coming to Terrace Bay. Mr, and Mrs, Porter and daughter Anne reside on Elizabeth Avenue in Terrace Bay. Two other daughters, Lynn and Jane are presently attending College in the United States, Joseph C, Wig has been appointed Mill Manager of the LongLac Pulp and Paper Company Limited, effective May 16, 1956. J. C. (Joe) Wig came to Terrace Bay in February 1948 from Neenah, Wisconsin, as Plant Engineer. Joe graduated from Marquette University in 1939 and immediately joined the Kimberly-Clark Corporation. Prior to (Cont. on next col.) coming to Terrace Bay, Joe worked in the Staff Engineering Section at Neenah, except for three years service in the Navy. He was discharged from the Navy in March 1946 with the rank of Lieutenant, Mr, and Mrs, Wig at present reside on Superior Avenue and they have five childs ren. It is our privilege at this time, to extend best wishes en behalf of all the residents of Terrace Bay te Mr, D. C. Porter and Mr, J. C.
