The Export Permit regulations ap- plicable to gift parcels ma,led to other. countries are outlined in Notice No, 2 on page 2 of the Post Office Weekly Bulletin To ensure speedy and safe delivery mailers are urged to pack all parcels firmly and securely in corrugated con- tainers wrapped tightly in several fclds of thick wrapping paper and tied securely with strong twine, Shoe~boxes should not be used as containers or fancy tissue paper as outer wrapper, nor Christmas ribbon to tie. Parcels may be sewn in strong cotton fabric for greater security. Mailers are | asked to enclose suitable items only, which run no risk of breakingand damaging the other mail, The mailing of matches, safety matches, lighter fluid or any in- flammable substance is strictly prohibited by law. Fresh fruits or any perishable articles cannot be accepted for transmission overseas, Glass jars and bottles should not be included, as they are likely to break and cause widespread damage and possible : injury. Substances which might leak and damage the mails, if sent at all, must be enclosed in leak-proof metal containers with lid securely soldered on and the container surrounded with absorbent material in corrugated cardboard, and securely wrapped and tied. Food in tin cans is however prohibited entry to Czechoslovakia, bhe Soviet Zone of Germany and Hungary. All food is prohibited to Roumania, All mail should be correctly addressed in ink and fully prepaid, Misleading abbreviations should be avoided. A return address should appear on each letter and parcel and a slip containing the complete address of the sender and the addressee should be enclosed in every parcel, o~0-0 Page 5 TERRACE BAY JUVENILES WIN OVER SCHREIBER In the 'second game of the Round Robin series between the Terrace Bay and Schreiber Juveniles, the Terrace Bay team beat the hard-working :Schreiberites. The game was fast from start to finish. Tempers went high in the last period but prompt action by the officials Pineault and Hayes' was taken, Danny Kenney was out- standing by scoring 5 goals. Jackie Marsh from the same line played a very hard game.
