biLL BORSUM DAY HUGE SUCCESS The Bill Borsum Day Committee wishes to take this opportunity of publicly thanking all those who helped in any way toward the great success achieved last. Saturday with the celebration of Bilt Borsum Dav, Led by the Marathon Pipe Baad under the direction of Rudy Schoal and followed by the members of the Minor Baseball League with Jim Fraser in charge, the Motorcade assembled at Hotel Terrace slowly proceeded to the diamond, At the ball field; the cars formed a concave to read - "Ball Borsum Day} - When the Borsum's: stepped out of Joe Adamo's car, a resounding cheer from the bleachers mixed with a fanfare of horns introduced the honours to follow, With the compliments of the Adamo's, little Donna Adamo presented Mrs, Borsum with an orchid corsage, Little Barbara Pineavlt presented a bouquet of Long stemmed American Beauty Roses to Mrs, Borst. Vice-Chairman Steve Keller pree sented Bill with an autographed bail and bat. Chairman Peter Mazza. made the presentation of a 16 mm, Bell and Howell Movie Cariera, In his "Stuck for words", Bill publicly thanked the people for their thoughtfulness and generosity. The Cabaret Dance at the Auditorium with Joe Adamo and his orchestra brought down the curtains, to a successful Bill Borsum Day. 'The Committee acknowledges donations of $25,00 from the Softball Ass'n, $25.00 from the Hockey Ass'n, $20.00 from the Baseball Club, $10.00 from the Bowling Ass'n and $10.00 from the Badminton Club as well as $25.00 from a Lakehead Friend and the assistance of the Rossport Derby Committee through Toy Seppala, Also are we indebted to Joe Adamo who arranged the dance at no charge to the Committee.
