NORTH SHORE HOCKEY NEWS NIPIGON AND TERRACE SPLIT AT NIPIGON In the first two games of the semi- finals of the North Shore Hockey League "A" series which were held in the Nipigon Memorial Arena on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon the league leading Nipigon Flyers and the third place Terrace Bay Superiors ended up with a game apiece, The Superiors won the Saturday night game 6-4 before a crowd of over 800 and on Sunday afternoon the Flyers whipped the Terraee boys 9-1 before a throng of close to 1,000, In Saturday's game, Terrace opened the scoring at 14.28 when Diduch scored on an assist from Osmar closely followed at 16,52 by Mannila of Nipigon on an assist from L, Lespi, Terrace had their best time in the second period when they scored four counters at the following times: 0.11, Osmar unassisted; 13,01 Moro from MeEwen 15.57 Bond from Hayes and Stashiw: 18.19, Osmar fromDiduch.
