{ -- Ths Terrace Bay Figure Skating Club are happy to announce that they have pro- cured the services of Mrs. Ivy Pattison as their professional for the coming season. Although a newcomer to FIGURE SKATING CLUB TO START OPERATIONS TUESDAY, JANUARY 11 Terrace Bay, Ivy is a well known personality in Figure Skating circles, having been the professional at the Thunder Bay Figure Skating Ciud at the Lakehead for the past two seasong,and we consider ourselves very fortunate in having secured her services. Ivy holds the silver medal plus two silver "bars" in school figures, also the silver medel for dancing. Our club is open to all age groups including pre- -school children, provided their parents are members of the Terrace Bay Recreation Association. It is not necessary that the children be able to skate. Bring out the wee tots at 3:30p-m. on Tuesdays or Thursdays and we will teach them how to skate. Mrs. Pattison will be giving group instruction for pre-school children from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday. For the school children, group lessons will begin at 4:00 p.m. and will continue until-5:30 p.m. ed PLEASE NOTE: Due to the fact that we have limited ice time at the rink aveilable to us and professional instruction is only available at certain times, each child will receive one group lesson per week. Each group will consist of 10 skaters, who will be placed in groups according to ability. Each group lesson will last for 20 minutes. Once the groups have been formed, your child will receive his or her lesson at the same time each week, and the parents are urged to advise their children to be at the rink at the time prescribed for thier (Cont. on next col.) sm FIGURE sAATING CLUB LO Stag? Each child who wishes to take figure skating group lessons must register at the Recreation Centre at the following times, and tickets will be sold at the time of regis- tration one month in advance. a lessons only, will be available at the cost of 50¢ for each 20 minute lesson... In other words, for the balatite of January, each child reg- istering will purchase 3 tickets at the cost of $1.50, which will be good only during the month of January. These tickets must be presented at the time of their lesson which will be once each week on either Tuesday or Thursday, devending upon which evening their lesson falls...
