CURLING CLUB NEWS Mixed League Curling to commence as soon after the New Year as possible, The first draw will probably commence the weekend of January 9th. Entries for this mixed league are to be made on the bulletin board at the Curling Rink. Listed below are the rules for the operation of the mixed league. 'Deadline for entries is Wednesday December 29, 1954. So come on curlers-- get your entries in now, New Years Dance -- Help is required from among the members of the Men's Club to help with the New Year's Dance, How about it fellows? See Jim MacDonald if you would like to help for this gala event. MIXED LEAGUE 1. Composition of all rinks must be identical that is, a female lead, male second, female third, and male skip, 2. It is requested that each individual wishing to curl in the mixed league try to find a partner of the opposite sex, However, in the event a ingle person who wishes to curl does not locate a partner, a single application will be accepted. The draw commit ee will then attempt to match up all such single applicants. 3. Any couple may form a rink with any other couple of its choice, This provision is intended to ensure the utmost in congeniality. 4. Couples who do not form up into rinks on their own initiative will be assigned to rinks on the basis of chance, That is, their names will be drawn from a hat, 5. Hach rink will decide for itself who will play the various POR EETHGSs subject to rule 1 above, 6, Rules to govern substitution in the mixed league will be posted before the start of the first draw, 7. The rinks will be drawn to play a complete Round Robin. 8, As far as possible, all mixed league games will be drawn for Sunday after- noon, 9y. Any person wishing to curl in the mixed league must be a paid-up member of either the Ladies!
