There will be a bus-each afternoon except Wednesdays. The afternoon playground pro- gram will be transferred to the swimming pool for both age groups providing the weather remains as it has been, There will be one leader remaining at the playground to care for the smaller children who do not wish to go swimming or to play in the sand at the beach, It_is very important that the children do_not_ go to the wading pool in the after- noons before coming to the playground, We are in need of as many paper bags for the children's crafts as we can get, so if you can send a few along with your children it would be appreciated. 0-0-0 RECREATION ASSOCIATION NEWS In last week's issue of the "News" we outlined a plan for collection of Tennis Fees through the Recreation Office. To date, very few of those persons who are playing tennis have made the effort to get over to the Office and bring themselves up to date in this respect. The cooperation of all tennis players is earnestly solicited. (Cont. next col.) Page 3 RECREATION ASSOCIATION NEWS (Cont. ) The Association requests that all groups and individuals who are collecting empty pop bottles for refund purposes, to take them to the refund depots as soon as is convenient. The Association recognizes and supports this good thrifty habit which no doubt helps to promote other activities. However, it is difficult to maintain an . * accurate inventory and have on hand a sufficient stock of empties to turn over to the vendor when we receive our supplies of refills, The vendor also has the same problem retaining stocks' of empties at their warehouse. So-o-o-0o-o0! if you good people who' are responsible for the returning - fewng fwmnce action will take them to Bill Scott at the Tool Crib or Frank Sechesky in the Pulp Office as soon as possible, this action will be greatly appreciated, Bill is available from 8 to 5 daily and Frank is available most of the time between 9 and 4 pem. The other main reason for wanting these empties tumed in more often, is that the Association does not carry heavy amounts of cash on hand at any one time and it would be a heavy drain on our funds if all of the empties were to be turned in at the same time, As it gets quite cool at the swimming pool after swimming, all parents who are sending their children out there dressed only in their bathing suits are advised to give them a towel or a sweater, or better still, give them both, to take with them, -_- At the last monthly meeting of the Rec- reation Committee, it was decided that the monthly financial statements should be posted throughout the Mill and Townsite at various Sgabs, so shat all members of the Association can be kept posted on that very important side of the Recreation picture, Just as soon as the last statement has been mimeo- graphed, it will be properly distributed, 0-0-0 LAWN MOWERS AND GARDEN TOOLS SHARPENED Phone Bill Sadowick at 532.
