Eddie was in great form, giving up but 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4, so that all he needed was 1 run from his mates to win. However, #2 decided to do this game up right by pounding Frank Whitfield for 19 hits. St. Louis hit a bases-loaded home run into deep right field for the best hit of the evening. Moro also hit a home run (bases empty), but Cooke got a clutter of little ones, getting 5 for 6, to really raise his B.A, Shift #2 just was in a slugging mood, Shift #1 could do nothing right. . In the lst inning they chipped in with 4 errors to help #2 off to an 8-0 lead, Shift #1 should have gone home after this inning because Eddie Aho was unbeatable that night, (Cont, on Page 7 )
