Many of the parents and friends were present to witness this occasion, In all, seventeen Guides received their Tenderfoot badge from Mrs. Shirley Mikus, The Guides were presented by the Lieutenants Mrs. Kay Jeanneret and Mrs. Vange Slattery also assisted by Mrs, Cleon Smith, The Captain in charge of this group is Mrs, Barb MacMillan. 0-0-0 ORDER OF THE EASTERN STAR A banquet was held preceding the rege ular meeting Monday evening, in the Commune ity Church, to honour Mrs. Dixie McFayden, District Deputy of the Eastern Star From Fort Frances, Ontario. Convenor of the bane quet was Mrs. A, Sinkins and her committee, Mrs, Elaine Rowlandson, Worthy Matron presided over the meeting, assisted by the Worthy Patron Alux Sinkins. During the course of the meeting Mrs, Annie Bailley presented a sterling souvenir spoon to Mrs, McFayden, and Mrs. McFayden later presented the chapter with a plate with the Eastern Star emblem on it. Other out-of-town visit- ors were Mrs. Clark from Fort William, and Mr, and Mrs, Cecil Hall of Red Rock.
