The Beavers were able to only pick up 5 points this week, up and get a chewing on the maples, Cut Ups moved up one on the Phillpotts i, were idle Tuesday, Sleepers picked up 124 points this week to still hold down the fifth pos- ition 2 points ahead of the Gutter Pups who were idle Tuesday. The Gin Pills picking up 12 points were able to keep ahead of the Pin Dusters who.were able to pick up 6 points this week even though 0, Harrison rolled the high single of the night with a nice 284. and put with that a 168 and 218 for hi triple of 670. Although the Slowpokes came out with 12 points this week they were unable to get out of the cellar position, With 3 weeks to.go.. anything can happen with the standings, as you will notice by the league standings. J. Todd was the hot one for hi single this © week with a 268 and C. Buck put together scores of 183, 262 and 230 for the high triple of 675. PEGGY WELLINGS' RINK WIN 3 STRAIGHT IN LAKEHEAD tSPIEL =~ The Ladies Terrace Bay rink in the Lakehead Bonspiel were sailing along in the main event and won their first three games. They were knocked out in the "fours" by a PA. rink. But the ladies made Terrace Bay curling abilities weli known in the Lakehead. After their thiid successive win they were the only "outs: o' rink in the Bonspiel.. Congratulations Ladies: Peggy Wellings, Aggie Sinkins. Ida Romaniuk, and Marg Hamilton. Congratulations too, to Monty Pagot and his rink for winning the Club mixec event. This was the first "skipping" job Monty has done in regular competition and his rink 'upset the "experts" as on paper at least there were some "power- houses" to contend with, So that is curling for another year. o-0--n LADIES CURLING Last week in error Betty Austin was listed as a regular member of P.
